| DAY 10 | SAN PEDRO DE SULA | SAN PEDRO DE SULA : Morning tour of San Pedro Sula to visit one of the many banana plantations in the area. Here you will receive a brief history- how they are planted, harvested, transported and packed for shipping. You will visit the headquarters village of La Lima, home of the Chiquita Banana. Upon returning to San Pedro Sula visit the museum, the residential areas, and the Guamilito artisan market to do your souvenir shopping. (B) |
| DAY 11 | SAN PEDRO DE SULA -CUSUCO NATIONAL PARK | SAN PEDRO DE SULA -CUSUCO NATIONAL PARK : Depart early by 4x4 vehicles to climb to 6800 ft to the fast growth forest of el Cusuco National Park. Upon arrival at the visitors center, hike the different trails admiring the flora and fauna. You will see giant ferns, orchids, bromeliads and other plants and if you are lucky you will see the resplendent Quetzal in its breeding grounds observe different birds and flowers. You will be served cold snacks and soft drinks. Return to San Pedro Sula in the early afternoon. (B,L) |
